Fabz is in a lovely setting, we sat in the garden under a gazebo on Valentine's Day as guests of our host, who paid R250 per head for a beautifully presented meal. This arrived cold because of the distance from the kitchen (why not use food covers?). The starter was amongst others a kebab with a peanut sauce. The meat was dry and appeared to have been 'cooked' in a food warmer, showed a complete lack of interest or love in the process. When the main meat course arrived it looked wonderful but was cold as well, as were the plates. Service was ok but I feel there is a lack of commitment on the part of the cooks to really cook a good meal, although the presentation was really good. At R250 a head for a set menu (with choices), to be charged for coffee is an imposition which took some gall, I feel. There was ABSOLUTELY no management participation in our meal or our experience, and I felt a little cheated, I have to say. Having been invited by our host, I was embarrassed to have caused him so much expense for so little in return. There are far too many better places for me to bother with Fabz again. Good experience! now that's Ayoba

Fabz Estate is situated in the heart of Lonehill but once inside it is difficult to believe that you are still in bustling JHB.Absolutely beautiful venue well fit for a wedding. Landed up here for my moms birthday, which just happens to be on valentines day so I had the chance to experience their valentines day menu, which was excellent!Great place if you want to experience a bit of old school dining with a modernflair. Bad experience! Not Ayoba
